If you are annoying me, just remember it takes 42 muscles for me to frown and only 4 to extend my middle finger, and I'm lazy so don't be offended.

Picked up my new (to me, 56) HSE today and had asked for this to be done - VIN was within range. Sales guy said it was, phone paired OK (Nokia 6230) but there was no phonebook displaying - everything else worked OK.

Sales guy then reckoned it would only pick up the phonebook if it was on the SIM and not on the handset - of course mine is on the handset. Is he BSing me?

My N95 has all its numbers in the phone memory not the SIM. Phone book works fine on the head unit and numbers even appear in the Message Centre - but randomly.

D3 is MY08 with last rev of the PTI that incs the cradle connection and BT connection. Only us the BT.

He is - I had the bluetooth upgraded on my 2006 HSE a few months ago (my phonebook is stored on the phone not the sim) and it works fine.

Anyone know how to force the sort order in the head unit to display as first, last name rather than last, first name.

The phone is the former and its damn annoying to remember peoples surname when searching in the D3.

Dragging a topic from history back to the present...

I asked my dealer to do this upgrade for me while my D3 was in for a service in the last couple of days. It seems the update hasn't taken; in fact I've completely lost bluetooth capability in my vehicle and the voice command button on the steering wheel has stopped working. Rolling Eyes

I'll give them a bell in the morning or on Monday, but in the mean time, have those who've tried this update and had it fail reached satisfactory conclusions?

sounds similar to what happened to mine - the first time they tried to do this upgrade the bluetooth unit locked up and my dealer rang me to say that they would not be able to do the update until a new bluetooth unit arrived (under warranty). They fitted the new bt unit a week later and were then able to do the update. I had to use the cradle until the bt unit arrived as the bt was dead.
