| Phone book over bluetooth |
|
Just had this passed to me.
vehicle must have FACTORY fitted PTI, not accessory version........
.........................................................................................................................
Land Rover are just in the process of issuing a TSB bulletin
TSB00095...29/10/07
This wil allow the following
Disco3 / LR3 ALL VEHICLES FITTED WITH FACTORY FIT PTI
Vin Range 000256 - 449068
Range Rover Sport ALL VEHICLES FITTED WITH FACTORY FIT PTI
Vin Range 900109 - 128369...( i think this vin should say 000109-128369) but that's what it says on the TSB
FFR (LM) Range Rover ALL VEHICLES FITTED WITH FACTORY FIT PTI
Vin Range 180214 - 264336
The customer requests phonebook over bluetooth feature.
Note
This feature is at the request of the customer only, and must be charged to the customer. The download time takes approx 50 mins.
Please ensure that the customer phone supports this feature by reffering to the Land Rover approved phone list.
This feature will enable a Land Rover approved bluetooth phone to display the phone's internal contacts (phonebook) and/or call stacks on the vehicle display. These can then be dialled using the vehicle interface.

Haven't used a dealer yet, so I have no idea how much is typical for hourly rate. Isn't there a standard recommended rate? Club MTR

The approved phone list is so out of date that if you've bought a new model in the last year, it's unlikely to be officially supported.......
But if it's supporting proper contact download or access, then most phones shoudl work with it (if the phone has the facility that is!) Club MTR

Billing 50 minutes while software downloads and the techy gets on with another job? I could do with some of that kind of work Please take a ticket and make yourself comfortable. I'll be along with a sarcastic comment shortly.
