Bonnet wrap, Union Jack. Amateur attempt
Firstly, I have some bad stone chipping, right across the leading edge of the bonnet, bumper and front side of wheel arches. Even some on the roof rack and windscreen. All from the journey to Nordkapp in April.
I spoke to a lad at work who has a detailing business, he said the only option would be to spray the bonnet and arches as he wouldn't be able to fix them.
I then saw this on the disco Facebook group. A lady bought some red and white vinyl wrap, cut it into various strips and designed this. All of the pieces are laid next to each other, there's no overlapping.
Anyway I decided to use the touch up pen on the chips, and have a go at a similar design. Some sort of angled Union Jack design, not yet decided exactly how I'll do it. Firstly I need to strip and clean the bonnet, remove lettering, paint chips, dry, wrap. Probably will have to be done in two parts, paint and prep first. Then clean again and wrap.
Anyway, anyone done anything like this before? All advice and pointers welcome as other than watch YouTube videos, I have no idea how to do it. What's the worst that can happen, I have to strip it all off?

As it happens after see a nice silver grey mini on the google box the other day with a grey Union Jack I have been looking into getting something done to mine Union jackish. Local guy is supposed to be coming up with some ideas and prices.==================================

I did the Freelander with individual sheets. It still looks passable at a distance of a few feet after 2 years, but close up you can see where the vinyl shrinks over time.
Better to get a single printed sheet in the design of your choice on a proper wrap vinyl - it will be more durable and you won't get the shrinkage that you get from laying individual sections next to each other.

fading over 5 or more years depending on ink grade and laminate vs shrinkage after 2 (and shrinkage leaves glue residue in the gaps that attracts dirt and turns a fetching shade of green).

Yes mate, Paul B sent me a photo of it a few weeks ago but I couldn't find it in any shops. I'll see if I can get a copy today.
