Here we go again, engine this time.

Looks like I've got bigger problems than last week. Car started to sound very rough, like a piece if trim loose, lots of very bad noises coming from LHS of engine looking from front. Waiting on AA, again. Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry

Before I shut it down

So do I but I suspect Bodsy's thoughts are along the same line as mine.

Plugged the IID in, as you do when stuck at the side of the road, and got these 2 among the usual suspects:

P02AE-00 (6C) Cylinder 6 balance - fuel trim at maximum limit
P02A7-00 (6C) Cylinder 4 balance - fuel trim at minimum limit

Injectors were all reading fine last time I checked. Might throw light on where the problem is. Sad

Shocked hope it turns out to be not too serious Del, sounds a bit 'auxiliary belt ' related to me, is the tensioner ok? or anything else driven by it ?

You can get that when Cyl 6 has lost compression. (e.g valve not sealing - which I guess could be caused by a cam not turning, which could be down to a bust chain in the head, but i'm getting rather carried away there I hope)

I'm sure other problems can cause this too though.

Difficult to tell from that, but it does sound like something mechanical. Like a belt flapping loose, so yes could be aux belt, but that doesn't explain the cylinder imbalance.

I'm afraid my money is on something more serious. Crying or Very sad
