Yes it can, I use it all the time in Europe.
Go into the driver information menu by pressing OK on the steering wheel. Then you need the Trip Computer settings (where you choose A,B or Auto) and the bottom choice is Units. In here you can choose mph/mpg, mph/mpl or kph/kpl.
kph will give you a permanent digital speedo as you need.

Got it, ta. it also changes my mpg & range. Will see how I get on with that or switch back to mph and just use my rough maths. Or assume 1km/h = 1mph.
With that maths applied I did 145mph across much of France and Italy last year. .

Switched it off, it was annoying me that range was in kms as was odometer. Don't want to tax my brain too much, I've a long way to drive today.

Not changing the profile til I say goodbye. Don't want the D4 to think she's anything more special.
Surely having range in same units as roadsigns is a major advantage?.

My Defender has a KM speedo so I use a free gps speedo app on my phone to make sure I'm not speeding in MPH Cheers Ian

Sorted. Got fed up with everything in kms and having to switch back for odometer readings for fuel. It was doing my noggin in.
