Pulsing Headlights and fans issue |
|
Hi all,
first post here so not sure if its in the right section
Had my disco 3 for a couple months now, recently I have noticed my headlights are pulsing, not all the time but it comes and goes.
If I have my heating fan up fully the pulsing can be heard in the fan speed also.
I have checked my battery when the car is off and its just over 12V, start the car and it charges at just over 14V, turn on heater, radio, front and rear screens, and both heated seats and it drops to 13.8V and then slowly raises.
I have tried to turn on more ancillaries and turn them off also when the pulsing starts but I get no difference.
Anyone have any ideas, haven't seemed to come up with much when searching.
I also have a sticky clutch pedal and a air bag light that seems to come and go but those are for another day
Cheers
Luke

Sounds like an alternator regulator fault.
I would also check the earth wire from the battery it attaches to the chassis and the engine and may have a corroded terminal

+1 for the alternator, I had the same kind of issue, I could see the tail lights pulsing.
