Took out the rear seats and a question.
Here's a view most of you will never see.

Took the seats out to store, will be putting my load deck in from the D3. Fairly straight forward to remove, just needed SWMBO's help to lift the seats out & into the house. Note bolts put back in for the central part, don't want to turn the car into a Deafner and leak.
Question, what is this? It's in the bottom of the passanger side rear lower storage. Something to do with the compressor?

Bonus is I had to remove the removable tow bar storage. Since I have fixed towing and no removable bar this may well find itself added to the list of stuff being flogged. Bonus.

No, I don't think these had rear AC even as an option. Deffo no rear AC controls. Though good thinking.
The black disc on the LHS one in the pic felt made of rubber, before I stopped poking around.
It is where air con pipes would go if you had it. Remember the "be able to fit everything" production line ethos.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

Have you got any pics or details of your load bed? I want to do the same thing as I never use the rear seats. Is it something you've made or bought? Thanks.IID, webasto software and workshop facility's available.

It's something that was for a commercialised D3 that I bought several years ago (now gone), I put it in my other now dead D3. I'm fitting it to the D4 shortly, will take some pics. It's very handy, especially for camping trips to store stuff underneath, like you I never use the middle or rear seats. If I do need the middle ones they can be put back in 30 minutes.
They do come up on here and eBay every now and again.
Here after a tip run.

It has a bulkhead but haven't used it for years, can't get full length wood in there.
