Dreaded flying stone took my windscreen out last Monday so called Hastings Direct and was put straight through to National Windscreen's who do all there screens, luckily I got a very helpful person who when I said I wanted pilkington opticool the same as the car left the factory with he told me they don't stock it and will need authorisation from the insurance company and they would call me once they hsd an answer from Hastings.
On Tuesday I got a call from Nationsl Windscreen's saying i could have the pilkington happy days I thought and agreed to have it fitted on Thursday and confirmed it was heated and had rain and light sensor.
Thursday came and so did the fitters I was met with a fitter who asked which screen I had as he had two on the van one heated and one heated with sensors, I said the latter and he took it out and this is where the saga started, wrong screen some chinese copy, I told him I'd been told I was getting Pilkington so he called the Branch ad you guessed it there was no record of me being told and no one had contacted Hastings, I wasn't very chuffed so sent them on there way and called the branch to be told it was a trainee who called and she got it wrong 🙄.
They then contacted Hastings and I was then contacted by Hastings to send pictures of my broken screen and the pilkington logo.
Today I had an email from Hastings confirming pilkington opticool happy days
So once the fitters have the screen in they will call to fit, I've also had an email confirming from the fitters the type of screen I'm getting.
Once it turns up I'll update to confirm if I eventually got the pilkington screenRange Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8 what a car

Good luck with National Windscreens
Wouldn't trust them after I had a screen replaced in my old Shogun.
Three attempts and two screens fitted
1st attempt they bedded in too far on the adhesive so the trims didn't touch the screen, and the managed to bond the interior roof lining trim to the screen.
2nd Attempt to remove screen and get a specialist to clean and repair roof lining they managed cut the roof lining as soon as they tried to cut the adhesive, roof lining now un reparable
3rd Attempt new screen and roof lining and all new outer trims that they managed to damage on the 2nd attempt
Lining was a special order from Japan, they wanted to take car to Milton Keynes for the 3rd attempt a round trip of nearly 80 mile you can guess what I said, three months of phone calls or lack of from National Windscreen I finally got it sorted.
They certainly won't be touching my motor again, I'd rather pay and use a none approved repairer and claim back the reduced amount than let Nation Windscreens touch it

When you got the Opticool glass, do your navigator work?
The one that you install with suction cup to windshield?
Mine don't after windscreen change.

The heated elements in the screen cut down the sat nav signal, some vehicles have a metalic coating on the windscreen that also has the same effectAndrew

Strange here is that the navigators worked fine with the previous cracked screen.
This was also heated. These navigators work fine in a Ford Transit that have also
a heated screen.
I checked from Pilkington, the screen don't have any metallic coatings.
