Idle smoke

If I leave the car idling for more than 15 minutes it starts to smoke and stink from the exhausts....it never used to do this.

I had the erg valves removed and blocked off a while back. Could it just be this that is causing the problem or do I have another problem looming on the horizon?? Shocked

After a quick blast down the Motorway it clears and is fine until next time. Now at 189K and no other issues.....

This evening I had the car ticking over while waiting to meet my daughter to hand back my Granddaughter, needed to keep the car demisted as it was peeing down with rain and also her DVD player running. After 15mins I had thick stinking smoke around the car and when we moved off it was like a smog factory.......... Rolling Eyes

With the dark evenings, it has to be left ticking over in fields while we work using the headlights and load stuff in it....... 8)

It is not black smoke and it is not using oil.... Confused

Possibly you have an injector on its way out

Wifes last audi did the exact same thing so off it went, quite common on audis and just about any common rail diesel engine.
It will be one injector, but as Mikey says most likely the set, set for audi was 2k, car was worth 2k!
