If I'd known I was going to be so thirsty this morning I'd have drunk more beer last night.

don't know what they will be like in the wet - looks as if they have 50% of the tread in contact with the road compared to the ATs - but then the Grabber ATs were crap off road!
road noise is much less than I was expecting - a low rumble but nothing that noticeable and I'm sure the ATs were noisey when first fittedDuncan

Duncan,
How are you getting on with these tyres?
Is the noisy more than the AT's and what's the MPG like?
Many thanks,
Jamie

So Dunc, having spent four or so months with the X3s, and potentially a little snow thrown in for good measure, how're they stacking up for you?Front Runner Rack, OEM Ladder & RAI, Tuff-Trek Foxwing, B'rakhah Ingonyama Expedition Trailer, RLD's Spare Wheel Protector, Bodsy's Bars, Empty Pockets! Anyone had the X3's on in the snow?
My Cooper LTZ's need replacing and, call me stupid, but I really just don't like the look of the AT3's and having had bad experience with AT2's I'm considering X3's instead because I just can't find anywhere to reliably get hold of the LTZs anymore.
Not snow yet, but they did me proud in Snowdonia at the weekend. Then again, another car with AT3s all round didn't suffer any either.Front Runner Rack, OEM Ladder & RAI, Tuff-Trek Foxwing, B'rakhah Ingonyama Expedition Trailer, RLD's Spare Wheel Protector, Bodsy's Bars, Empty Pockets! Would these tyres be overkill for on road? Probably do 80% country lanes and 20% mud..

Ive got a set of x3's. I've been upto Rivington tonight, and took the Belmont road. it's thick with snow.
I went up the steep hill no problem. Gave it some throttle on the snow and got no sliding from them at all. Previous tyres I've had are Goodyear hp's and Pirelli scorpions to compare. I got sideways action from them when I gave it throttle on that snowy hill. So in my opinion they are very grippy indeed in the white stuff. For a normal wet or dry day. I'd say the tread blocks flex a bit on the fast bends so it gives a feel of body roll compared to what I've been used to. I can live with that though I drive slowly most of the time.
