Question About D4 and Offsets
I have recently fitted a set of replica 20" Stormers with 285/50 Coopers, I have also fitted the stop locks to prevent the rubbing issue.
My question is, do I need the stop locks?
I believe standard LR wheels have an offset of ET53, the wheels I have are ET45, would this be enough to negate the need for the stop locks as they are driving me mad.

In my opinion [& experience] ..... yes you need the stop locks.
I had et45 stormers with 285/50 LTZ's on my D4 and stop locks were a god send [in fact ProSpeed developed these specifically against my D4]
However if they're 'driving you mad' then take them off and be prepared for the tyres rubbing on the chassis extrusion, with the resultant noise [& stares from passers by] ....... you'll soon go back to lock stops.
Alternatively change down to a 275/45 tyre, you'll get no rubbing on the chassis without stop locks.
But I went the other way - had 285s swapped over from my D3 and they rubbed, so then went for the 275's, but much preferred the 285's so went to ProSpeed with view to grinding down the chassis extrusion, but lock stops was the idea & solution they came up with for me.
Might take two goes to get into a Tesco parking slot rather than the one, but that's the price I was prepared to pay.

Thanks for the info Ron, kinda thought that would be the answer.
2 go's at the parking space is ok but tight 90 bends with the tintent on the back don't work out so well
Will wear the 285's down and fit 275's I think.
