Must be a saga really. I have never owned a Faultmate or an IID tool as I have always preferred to avoid the outlay and rely on people like Adrian Wiggs and Geoff to deal with things for me.
After my superb D3 I went over to Jag and came back (+Jag) in 2014 only to discover that BBS was not in favour and the next leg up was IID.
Have never really discovered what happened although BBS was always a bit eccentric, however he is a real boff.
So we now have a Canadian based company producing a supremely useful tool and a Cyprus based company that had previously a superb track record with it's products.
???

Not used it for two years or more.
Might see what eBay will give me for it!

I'm in the same boat, the cost of some of those licences are eye watering, my particular favourite was the one I bought for the climate control on Disco 2. The description says "There are many secret tricks and features possible with this ECU and for security reasons we have not listed them here." paid for the licence and found why it was not listed. All the licence did was transfer the information freely available on the RAVE CD into Vehicle Exporer and provided absolutely no diagnostic capability so a complete rip off. Clearly if that had been mentioned I wouldn't have bought it as I already knew all that stuff.

When I bought it there were no other options and it is still a great tool for D2.

I too have bricked an ECU with it, I still have the ECU and the only fix is to open it up remove the eprom to reflash it.
