'smart' wallets

Trivial I know but looking to replace the old, worn-out, leather wallet.

Been looking at these 'smart'/high-tech one's like this but not sure

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Design-Carbon-Lea...lip+wallet

Anyone got one/recommend them?

I like the idea they seem to be compact and a hard shell, fixed size, makes them better for slipping into pockets but then wonder if you spend ages slipping cards out like you're dealing a deck to find teh card you want. I have about 3-4 cards I regularly use and another 4-5 I 'need' to carry but don't use that frequently so would be looking for a 'quick access' area and then a 'storage' area.

Also usually stuff receipts into one pocket in a traditional wallet and wonder how you get on with that in these type of wallets Confused

You can't beat a leather wallet. It will mould to your 'configuration' of cards and pocket over time.

Wallets are a very personal thing, I've had wallets as gifts before, that just dont suit my needs. I need a wallet with fast access to the cards that pay for my Discovery spares! Whistle

I have one of these, stops your cards getting scanned, I can confirm that it does work, mine holds approx 5 cards with space for cash and receipts

That's where I started the OP off with Sniffer - but you can't 'customise' these can you to make the 'size' you want (as in number of cards)???

I tried the iclip, used it for a day and went back to a standard wallet, couldn't get on with it and it currently resides in the bedroom draw, think it maybe more suitable to the younger generation who unlike me carry cards and little if any cash.

You'd better dig it out and post it to me in exchange for some beer tokens then

I've been using a mini Bellroy wallet for the last few years.
https://bellroy.com/products/card-pocket/default/black#image-8
I've got the waterproof variant [tho I don't think that feature is available now] so I can take it when I'm canoeing, kayaking or biking.
I've also fitted lanyard and for security I loop it around a belt loop when putting it in my trouser pocket.

Only trouble is, you need to fold your notes in three ... but as a Scotsman that's no big deal as I don't use them much Laughing

+1 for Bellroy wallets. Best slim wallets out there.
Previously owned an '08 D3 HSE in Stornoway grey but jumped ship to see what the Swedes have to offer.

Bought a Secrid (the twin 'double card holder' version) after a bit of research. Only held the I-Clip physically and looks a good bit of kit but not big enough (as in number of cards it holds) for me.

Get it later in week so hope it lives up to expectations
