Would it be possible to get an indicator of when the FBH is on from, for example, the FBH water pump? Does the FBH have its own fuel pump?
Either of those would be a pretty simple on-off, and would presumably tell you if the FBH was on, even if it wasn't as a result of the webasto timer thingy.
Not done any research here, so might be talking out of my elbow.

Possibly ..but i think the idea is to know when the remote / gsm unit has fired .
When starting automatically you would know anyway ..as you would be in the carG4 Gone ...but not forgotten

I would have a quick word with TFC first ...too see if he can remember how he has wired it .
4 wires dont seem right ..although he could of routed the wires differently to what i did .
I have 2 wires soldered direct to the circuit board..these are to simulate pressing the instant flame ...these would normally go to the remote or the GSM unit ..then when you activate the remote /gsm unit it closes the connection between the 2 wires
Then there is a 12 v + and a 12 v - ..these come from else ware to power the oval timer .
Then lastly the W-BUS signal that goes to the webasto heater .
Leaving 1 wire free ...which can be used as the 12v + for the led.
(4 wires on the oval plug ....2 wires soldered on the board )G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

You could use a double colourd LED and a relay on the OUT, when the heater in ON (12V on OUT) it will be one colour and then when OFF (0V on OUT) it will be another colour
Or use the water pump 12V feed instead of the OUT as its nearer to the head lights.

True, so it would have to be from the OUT only and with the relay wired to the key to stop it working when you are in the car.
Humm a lot of work for a 2 stage LED loool.

Early vehicles have a now redundant warning lamp in the dashboard. Its a red symbol of a D3 with a heat haze radiating under it. Its in the bottom left of the dashboard. It used to come on when the now removed timer function had been set in the SETTINGS MENU.
I wonder if the lamp can be used for Bobby's suggestion of a lamp to warn when the fbh is running during vehicle use?
I dont know how easy it would be to dismantle the instrument cluster to get to it, but it should be easy to pop an led in the right hole 8)
