Chaps thanks for all the comments, I had the disco today and noted that when driving at high speed for a few minutes the light goes out. It comes back on after 10 mins or so driving around town. The stop start never kicks in.
Wondering if it is a charging fault, car seems to be running fine other than that. Its booked in for its service next Thursday to ill probably ignore it until then.

Dealer replaced the stop start battery on the service but its still not working. They need it for a few days to perform diagnostics now. I'm in no rush.MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

I have the similar "issue"
Do not really miss SS but mentioned to the dealer thy claim they re-flashed the car (what they said lol) but I think they only done hard reset and said on 2 mile test drive it worked but for some reason it does not like me and does not work at all
I said plss swap the battery but they say they need to do proper software investigation to provide LandRover with lol
Might ask them for nice RRS for them few days of troubleshooting to try it out ;0

How did your stop/start fault light issue resolve itself? I have this warning light come on tonight for the first time. It is a bit intermittent though, goes off for short periods and immediately after starting it’s ok.
My stop/start has been working fine most recently (since they put a software fix on). I’ve not been driving the car so much just lately and it’s colder tonight. I’m wondering if both/either battery needs a charge. Will stick CTEK on both batteries tomorrow, charge up and see what happens.
In the meantime I’m interested to know what eventually cleared your warning light.
Many thanks
CheersGary

My disco spent a further two weeks at the dealer to get this resolved. they replaced multiple modules, both batteries again, a wiring harness and the fuse box. It came back working and touch wood has done ever since. I think they never did find the exact problem and just kept replacing things MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten
