Went from a D2 td5 es to a D3 and as others who have done the same have said it puts the D2 in the shade as much as I loved the D2 the D3 is a far better drive.

I can’t compare exactly, but I went from a 2004 D2 V8 to the 2011 D4 V8. I have to say they are totally diffrerent vehicles.
As Bobbygg said, the D2 is much more agricultural. The D4, which in most ways is just a tarted up D3, is so much nicer to drive.
Of course, the new V8 having almost twice the power of the old one helps!
Nice pair !!! Bournville was a rare colour on the L319... it was brought in on L322 as a tip of the hat to Cadbury's and their factory in a garden....

I'm in the market for a D3 V8 (new to LR ownership).
I can't get my head around their values! £10k for 100k+ mile v8 is the average price of any on market at minute, this seems a lot of money for high mileage to me. Considering I plan to lpg it (would prefer to pay that money for 50k miles)
I've read the often advice on here to buy based on condition and history not mileage.
Any advice on this? Am I being cheap? Should I hold out?

You will love it. Looking forward to the photos!King of the typo.
MY11 D4 5.0 V8, Bournville, lots of goodies!
Now departed: '85 RR Vogue, '94 D1, '95 D1, '70 SIIA, '97 D1, '04 D2a. All V8, except for the SIIA - but that drank as much petrol anyway!
