Help!! Sell my D2 V8 ES for D3 TDV6 HSE - dilemma time
New to the forum although I've been viewing as a guest for a while
As in the title really... I've been given the dilemma of being offered a colleagues early D3 2.7 HSE which is fully loaded in Tonga Green for a decent price. The history of the car can be traced right back to the body being put together at Solihull andf has always been maintained regardless of cost and using genuine parts. It's just crossed the 100k mark and does have a few dinks n scrapes but nothing scary. My current car is a 2003 D2 ES V8 with LPG conversion which I love but feel its time to move up to the D3...
Probably the wrong forum to be asking for opinions lol ... but any comments, words of wisdom welcomed!
PS... just to throw a spanner in the works, another colleague has offered me is BMW X5 Le Mans Sport for the same money!!!

I had a D2 V8 ES, great car!
You'll get better mpg with the D3 (just!) Better handling on the road by far, but if I still had my D2 would I swap now knowing the D3, I'm not sure.

hmmm...I can borrow it for the weekend but I think that will just win me over...have to say it and don't wish to upset anyone on here but the wife is not keen on the green and its got the Tundra leather interior (almost greeny alpaca if you've never seen it) but i'm looking more at the history, dont mind the green and can swap out the interior if needed !!!

I loved my TD5 D2 but when I swapped to a TDV6 D3 late last year I've never looked back.
Just do it!

What hasn’t been suggested yet is to wait for a nice D3 V8 to show up

Had my TD5 for 11 years and loved it. Decided to upgrade to a D3 last year. Fantastic motor and much more refined. I do a lot of long distances and its a pleasure to drive and sooo cumfy.
