2014 Disco 4 or 2014 Facelift

Hi All

Anyone with experience of MPG differences between the 2012 disco and the 2014 facelift wing stop start?

Is it worth paying circa £4K more for a 2014 car versus same mileage 2013 car?

Thanks

I've had a 2010 and now have a 2014 and have noticed no difference in consumption between the two, if I were you I'd go with whichever is the best car/deal regardless of age.

My 2013 tdv6 with 125,000ish miles does better mpg than the other one I have, a 2014 sdv6 with 70,000 miles.
Both commercials, both auto 8speed.
The older one fully loaded with stuff, the newer one empty.
All according to the display on the dash. 33mpg and 30mpg.
Never bothered actually calculating what each do.

I'd pay more for a later EU6 engine. The two I've owned are/were definitely faster and a tad more fuel efficient.

You’ll be saving £200/year in tax for the MY14 car with stop start.

My 2014 D4 facelift does 32mpg on long runs. Makes no difference if the rear with seats folded is loaded or empty. That is from brim to brim calculations. The only way to determine the mpg. The computer is only a forecasting estimate. Local runs give about 28mpg. Only superdiesel is used.
2014 MY Discovery XS Indus Silver. Sadly gone. Second last LR of forty eight years continuous ownership.

I have just changed from a 2010 d4 to a 2016 d4 and the newer one is about 2 or 3 mpg better than the older one.

Thanks all. Sounds like little if any difference. Will keep eye out for the MY2014 as I prefer the headlights.
