Found a 22 hollow point bullet under the seat rail of my Defender. After advice on here I pulled the end out with some pliers, and buried it.

When I bought a "fully valeted" discovery 1 from a main dealer many years ago I found two shotgun cartridges under one of the rear side seats. Obviously the valeter was thorough I just handed to two cartridges to the village plod who never said a word. He probably used them on his next outing.

I was clearing the shed that came with our first home together, must have been 1996 ish, and in the corner of the shed was the sawn-off part of a shotgun both barrels about a foot and a half in length
Took it straight down to plod and was there quite a while giving details, making a statement etc I think they believed me in the end but were very interested in the previous owners detailsIggy/Ieuan

I have had my car for just over a year now, and in all the time, I have had a very annoying noise, tap, tick, call it what you want, but every time the car changed direction / camber, it would make this little tick. I have searched all over for it, but has eluded me until now. But was quite surprised to find out what was causing it.
I eventually found the offending object, in a little crevice under the blower outlet, that is underneath the satnav box under the passenger seat.....!

Moo,
Did you make it airside with the offending article? I did. Nice start to the holiday.

It was in my Barbour jacket pocket and went through the scanner in a tray. My jacket had been all over my baggage so the residue of the weekends shooting was also over the bags. They obviously identified the cartridge but then did the swab test on my bags. It sent the machine into meltdown and made a dull day very exciting for the security staff! The coppers were very good about it and knew what had happened but there is a process to go through so lots of questions, paperwork, looking at phone, laptop, social media (i don't have any) and other checks. - No Marigolds involved!
I still made my flight and they disposed of the cartridge, a lovely Gambore Black Diamond.New Defender L663 110 SE (known as Noddy!)

In the good ol days when the green and red channels worked it was so much quicker going though red with firearms they never really worried about the extra booze

Very similar, Barbour jacket, cartridge left in pocket from weekend's shoot. However, security and the scanner didn't spot it
Wife and I sat having breakfast, went to light a cigarette, that's not my clipper lighter Quick discussion about what to do, we were on our way to Geneva via Paris Charles de Gaulle. I made the exec decision to go back to security and fez up. That's when Special branch got involved, played good cop/bad cop. What a pair of w s. Quoting terrorism act, own up and you'll catch your flight, don't and we'll take this down the local nick and really mess up your holiday. Oh, and did you drive down here because I can smell alcohol. I coughed to possession, took their caution, they confiscated the cartridge (Gamebore White Gold) and we made the flight.
OK, so the only bit you're really interested in - no marigolds
my kids have made it onto aircraft carrying laser pointers and penknives before now.
and skateboards ... only on outward flight. coming back it caused mayhem as "you could use it as a weapon". True maybe, but smashing the bottle of duty free and waving pointy end in someone's face whilst having sprayed a litre of flammable fluid across the cabin would be a bigger issue surely ?
