Removal of mirror caps and door handles

All,

Can anyone advice on correct method in which to remove my mirror caps and door handles external in order to have them professionally painted without causing breakage to clips/ fixings.

Decided to black pack my vehicle doing the mirror caps black though going from the standard GS graphite colour on the handles to matching Fuji white. Will then go black on grills and wheels too.

Cheers.

Haven't tried the door handles but the mirror caps come off by looking at the top and there is a small gap on the lip which you need to get a plastic trim remover into. Then just gently prize round.

PS - you can get genuine LR black pack covers on flee bay for £50 posted.
 Last of the D4 HSE...

For the door handles.....I hope this makes sense.
Single lock the car and put the key out of range of the car. Then you can pull the handles out without the door opening. You then need to pry the rear edge of the handle "skin" up at the top and down at the bottom, and it should just come away.
Even better there's a very short video on You Tube "How to remove door handle "skins" on Range Rover Sport" this will show you the way. Same installation as the D4. Be careful with the small piece at the back as the retention clips have a nasty habit of breaking off. Oh and the front left door needs the emergency key sliding in to remove the cap.
