FBH not working occasionally

Hi,

Every now and then I only get cold air being ventilated in the morning although temperature outside is well below 15C and fuel and battery levels are OK. Upon starting the engine I get a message being displayed on the central screen that the heater was not accessible. The next day it works fine.

Also quite often I get the following error code:

ACM-Audio System

• U0166-00 (2A) Lost communication with auxiliary heater control module

Any idea what might be causing this?

Thanks

Your FBH doesn't work until the temp drops below 5 degrees. Embarassed
I presume the D4 is the same as a D3.

I'm pretty sure it's 15°C for the D4. This is from the owner's manual: If the external temperature is between +15°C (59°F) and -20°C (-4°F), then the passenger compartment is heated using the engine's auxiliary heater. If the temperature is greater than 15°C (59°F), then the cabin is ventilated by drawing in air from outside the vehicle to purge warm air and improve cabin comfort.

It also doesn't explain the error messages.

Thanks
