Condensation in ECO mode blowers
Hi there, when i hit the ECO mode i get instant misting up of all windows. So much so that its unsafe too drive. I always switch back to AUTO with recirculation. Does anybody else get this?
Is it a case of it never getting used? On my last car those symptoms were heater matrix failure, but it doesnt do it in AUTO.
Any ideas/pointers would be great, thanks.

ECO selection turns off the Aircon which, in turn, stops the removal of damp air. You may have a damp cabin air filter for some other reason which could need checking. It's located behind the passenger cubby box in the front dash.Dave

Hi folks, i nipped out earlier. Had ECO on from start up, warmed up to full temp and no misting up occured.
I guess when you turn it on if cars already warmed up the change in air humidity going from air con to none causes the sudden mist up. Ill keep tunning in eco for a while now. Hopefully there no real problem. Ill keep my eye on it from now though. Thanks for the pointers and help

Have you got recirculation switched on? If you keep recirculating the same air, it will not dry out.Richard
