Oem part is about £200 each. It's not a lot of labour. Probably about £1400 all in to do all 6.

As character asks, why? Mine were replaced when I was getting very poor starting and injector related faults. Unfortunately they were not recovered when she was scrapped.

Hello Character
Sorry its late reply.
from a previous post i mentioned we have blue grey smoke on tick over (at lights & junctions etc,) wife getting embarrassed with it now, even though she loves disco, and we have high level in oil when dip sticked suggesting diesel in sump, members on forum suggesting injector problem (borewash) or compression or valves ??
want to keep motor but are costs probably outweighing value of disco 55plate 155k miles ??
any opinions appreciated

Any injector related fault codes? If they were that bad the car would be trying to balance them and failing, hence restricting fuel to certain injectors and chucking up codes.

I had this problem,I read my codes this told me No 2 injector had internal leakage and that the others were over compensating replaced only the one injector starts better no smoke and runs like a dream just clocked 1000 miles since and it’s running better than it ever has.

Be very careful as diesel in the sump will strip the lubricating properties of the engine oil and can cause big problems like a snapped crank.
Get it checked out ASAP and if this is the problem regular oil changes will help.
You can check it with an oil test yourself to see the condition of the engine oil, see:- http://www.oil-spy.com/
hope this helps, good luck.

Smoking at idle especially in traffic tail backs, no increase in oil level, if that’s what you also have then there must be another problem maybe on top Smokey injectors shouldn’t dilute oil because the smoke gets pushed through, unless rings are broken or terribly worn. It’s still better to start by reading your codes.

This is first start after replacement of the No 2 injector and no smoke, the vehicle is also smoother than its ever been I got it at 80,000 now 140,000. I will take another reading when I complete the long trip I am on at the moment. the re- compensating will show better then I hope.but you can see already it was sorting itself out.
