New AGM battery: is a BCM reset necessary or just desirable
As the title - I have a 14MY Disco and the battery (AGM) is going to need replacing soon. I could do it myself but I don't have an IID tool so wouldn't be able to reset the BCM. Is that really necessary, or will it adjust itself anyway after a while ?
Also - I presume there aren't any gotchas like having to re-enter radio key codes ?

ISTR I replaced mine but didn't reset the BCM for a good bit after, without any problems.

Hi DSL (or anyone else) a question for you
Would you be likely to get a load of fault codes that need cleared if you disconnect the battery and replace it?
OJ.
