Is the dealer yanking my chain
Disco4, 2016 with Adblue requirement.
Get a 'Diesel exhaust fluid level low' on the car ONE WEEK after a service. Ring up Grange Landrover (local dealer) who intimate it might be a sensor issue and to bring it in for a check.
Two days later go in, wait nearly two hours, get given my keys and told 'it's topped up'. Get in car, drive home (10 miles). Just as I am parking up warning comes up AGAIN. Ring dealer and am told to speak to Landrover Assistance (1pm on a Saturday so they clearly don't want me to go back). I ask them if they actually topped it up and they assured me they did.
Ring Landrover Assistance who tell me just to keep driving the car and just take it back to the dealer. Well gee thanks.
Ring Dealer Monday am, they tell me the warning 'can take 24 hours to reset'. Really? OK then, I'll give it 24 hours.
So guess what. Yeah the warning is still on this morning. I have a look in the menu system and it says 807 miles until empty. Well then, they didn't top it up did they. Just to add insult to injury the car comes up with 'service required'. 10 days after I had it serviced. Are they, as I suspect, just crap and there is nothing wrong with the car, they just didn't fill it on two separate occasions, or could there be another problem or a leak? I have smelt a slightly wee/sweet smell through the vents on occasion in the car...*now enjoying* D5 Namib Orange HSE 68

Complain to the DP at the Dealership and make LR Customer Services aware.
I nearly bought a L405 from Grange before buying my D4, I put the dealership into Google and the reviews were far from complementary on the Service side of the business.
LR really need to do some quality audits on their dealerships, all cars go wrong from time to time but its the dealers that stop a minor issue becoming a major one.1970 RRC

Well they're saying they put in 10L on Saturday and the car must be leaking it so it's booked in for a third time this Friday. Feeling pretty fed up!*now enjoying* D5 Namib Orange HSE 68

I bought my D4 from Grange at Barnett, which I assume is the dealership you are meaning. They were great to buy from, but I haven't been there for servicing as it's too far.DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Land Rover don't care how badly you're treated by a dealership, they only concern themselves if the car itself has been wrongly repaired or not repaired at all.
I bought new D4 from Grange Barnet had issues and they did not want to know. It took 6 months to get my money back and vehicle rejected.Defender 300Tdi 110 HCP - Keswick Green

Sounds very dodgy to me...maybe the first time they 'just' put one of the 1 litre LR Adblue top ups in?
Remember, if you top up yourself, NEVER brim Adblue as the system needs air in the tank to calibrate the reset (maybe this was an issue here too?).

Try Chipperfield Landrover at Kings Langley, pretty good there and only 30-35 mins from Welwyn on a good day

I have a service deal with Grange so it's difficult to change - they assure me they put 10L in on Saturday and so I must have a leak. It's one hell of a leak if it's gone through 10L in 10 miles.
They've also told me the service required warning has 'been a fault across the whole Landrover range'.
So they've got it back Friday and we'll see where we go.
(I should add I've been monitoring the Adblue levels since Monday and it is going down very regularly with the correct mileage so there isn't a leak now....)*now enjoying* D5 Namib Orange HSE 68

Check if you can use any dealer for your service plan, I think the service plan is with land rover, not any particular dealer, Denis.

Yes you can use any dealer with the service plan. I fell out with my local dealer because of their total incompetence. Using a different one now, so far so good but it’s a bit of a journey !!Velar MY18 D180 S Narvik
