If you keep it in low range then you should get as low as 15 mpg, maybe keep in the lower gears and you could increase consumption to less than 10mpg.

Thrashing it is your friend.

17 on the dash or 17 worked out tank to tank?
Either way its psis poor.

Mine on the daily 5 mile commute shows 22 mpg, knock of 10 percent and its about right.

Dont forget below I think 7degc the fbh is running which is also burning diesel.

Mine normally sits around 29-32 MPG but I do about a 20 miles each way commute. Had a big trailer on for a while today and reset the trip it dropped to 19mpg

Do you drive a lot in rush traffic and at slow speed?

Welcome.

IIRC I got 26.5 over c. 80k miles - but mine was manual.

Expect c. 1.5 mpg less with an auto in my experience.

It does depend on how & where you drive, I drove hard but was very sparing in the use of the brakes - lots of anticipation.

Fill the tank and take it for a long run. See what you get brim to brim.

You have just purchased a 3 tonne brick with the aerodynamic profile of a wall. Fuel consumption will be the least of your worries.

A remap will increase fuel consumption becuase of the grin factor. Laughing
