It moved a little while ago from Canterbury Industrial Park to Lakesview, but I've been to Anderson Tyres next door a couple of times in the last few months and no signs of life, but I didn't look too closely.

Be interested on feedback on Discovery Garage. Might need to use them in the future. Gary

I use them, nice chaps seem to know what they are talking about, i believe ex LR main dealer staff who set up on their own, and not expensive. Only had servicing done so far (they have the required vat registration for my WD warranty) , nothing complicated. Next year is cambelt time so need to quiz them on how many D4 belts they’ve done. I've used them for front suspension arms on the Discovery and everything was fine.
They definitely know their way around a Defender (refitted my new axle under my 1987 110, even though I'd been mucking about with parts trying to upgrade to disk brakes), but not sure what level of diagnostic stuff they have to be able to service a modern Discovery. Nice chaps though, as said, worth giving them a call and asking.

I asked for a quote for 7 year service on my D4. They are going to call me back in the morning - I thought this would be pretty standard (ie a quote) so whilst it's made me a bit wary they couldn't give a price over the phone I'll see what they say tomorrow and feed back. The quote from Barretts made my eyes water...

Worth checking what parts they are including when they give you a quote, e.g. does it include front and rear timing belts and tensioners, both front idler pulleys and Aux drive belt. D4 GS 12MY

Hadn't realised there were so many of us around these parts.
Good to share experiences. Thanks. Gary

£1050 which is a bit salty v Barrett who are a main dealer. Had a bit of a touch though as belts were done last year when I had the engine work done so Barretts have quoted 550....

Ansells in Lydd have a good rep.
If its just a normal service, you can buy the stuff yourself for about £125 ... my mechanic friend does mine and cost me £80 labour on top.

I always buy the parts myself and just pay the labour. I photograph the parts and keep receipts in case of a warranty claim. I get the garage to note the precise oil make/type on the service invoice. Saves a few bob D4 GS 12MY
