prospeed rack fixing points

Anyone know if the prospeed rack uses the front fixing point that the extended roof rails use? I know it fastens to the short roof rails but not sure if it has any other fixing points above the drivers head (so to speak)

I don’t have extended rails but I do have a prospeed rack so I would assume not.

Its not really to do with the extended rails as you cannot fit a prospeed rack with extended rails it needs to be the short rails. Im referring to the anchor points of the prospeed rack and does it just fit to the short rails or does it also fix to the fixing points at the front of the D4 between the windscreen and where the short rails start. If not I will need to cover these holes with new trim or at least a rubber grommet or similar Thumbs Up

If meaning the 2 M6 bosses above driver & passenger seats where the long rails fix to then yes.
Didn’t bother when on D3 but use them on current set up.

Custom Roof Rack front

So I cme acroos this post, I don't have a prospeed rack but am making my own rack/light bar mount to my D3.
Making the rack out of 1" thin wall square tubing. As far as the D3 goes, (Comment: with the D3 I didn't bother) do you think I could suspend my rack out far enough to be in line with the top of the wind screen?

I wanted a longer rack but didn't know how I would come up with any support structure out there.

If any or you guys run a LED light bar or lights on your rack (D3) how did you run your wires?
I need to run minimum 12 ga. wires for my LED Bar.

I was thinking I could remove the front molding piece on the fron passenger side of the Thule rack and find a hole there or drill my own and run the wire along the headliner space to the inner A-pillar then out the firewall port, to the battery/alternator.
Just wanted an opinion before I go tearing stuff out, and break everything plastic due to brittleness.
