What Is This?

Hi all,

An odd little plastic thing came with my car, on top of the tray above the cooler box (see photo). I can't figure out what it might be used for and there's no mention of it in the handbook so I'm wondering if it is just a bit of junk left in by the PO?

I imagine its just to stop stuff rattling about in the tray. Don't think mine has one though.

Can't see how it could stop anything rattling around. I thought maybe the clip on the side could be intended for the steering wheel, but it doesn't really fit and what would be the point anyway?

Sits in top of cubby tray .. to make a flat surface ( for phone etc )

The plastic bit is to be able to lift it off

It's barely any flatter than the surface it sits on! How strange.

I find it to be a bit of a nuisance when lifting the tray out to access the cooler, so I might bin it or stash it next to the toolkit or something.

I had the same pad as windowlicker shows when I had my D3. Anti slip. I had no factory fit satnav so fitted in that place with Blutack.
2014 MY Discovery XS Indus Silver. Sadly gone. Second last LR of forty eight years continuous ownership.
