No sound from radio, but CD and satnav perfectly okay.
Any ideas please?

If you have rear headphone sockets fitted, do these still work? Mine do but the amp speaker output is toast.
this is not uncommon? Series 1 V8
Series 2 Hibrid V8
Discovery 3 HSE V8

If the head unit appears to be working and doing all the normal things, but just no sound, ? I had the same systems and that turned out to be the amp! Beanie grill , detangoed , waxoiled, disco3 sticker, rear tints, spare wheel protector, fantastic BAS Remap, three flash indicators, reverse lights follow me home. EGRs blanked. AMK compressor upgrade. D4 rear lights. DAB radio replacement.

Just to clarify,
no sound from Radio... no sound whatsoever or can you hear static?
But the CD and satnav perfectly okay.... so music from the CD sounds correct, normal, no crackle?

No sound at all... no cracking, nothing
but
Like all things Discovery, it then started working fine the next time I started the car. Perhaps switching off and allowing to go to sleep reset it, and, yes, perhaps a hard reset would have sorted it if it hadn't come back to life.
Thinking about it, this had happened before and it started working again by itself. May be just a low power issue?
