Protecting start / stop button
Looking for some advice, please.
I've picked up a second have start / stop button as the lettering on my old one was very worn and it annoyed me! It seems a common issue, from what I noticed when looking at cars to buy.
Is there anything I can coat the new button with, to stop it wearing in the same way? Some sort of varnish, maybe?
Cheers,

I wouldn't worry about it. Mine still looks decent after nearly 100k miles, so i would just replace it if it needed it. If it was wearing out every 5k miles, i would think differently.

If anyone is looking for the part, it’s LR014015.
I would apply some matte lacquer on it if you have to but the new button is~40 €.

Good opportunity for aftermarket suppliers SWMBOs mini is still like new after 11 years and 100k+ miles, mine is worn away after 4 years and less than half the miles It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Wow - that's a good few suggestions.
The lettering one my old one is almost worn away at 90K miles and the s/h replacement comes from a 2014 car and is just starting to show a little wear. Hoping to stop it getting any worse...
In comparison, our Mondeo is virtually the same mileage and looks like new.MY2012 D4 HSE in Siberian Silver, 1967 MGB
