England 2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 S Auto Zambezi Silver

I have no idea, but is the air intake pipe for the compressor. I think I read somewhere that it is higher up to prevent water getting sucked in.

As I say this is a wild guess, but I thought I read something about it somewhere.

In that case it probably fell off a BMW X5 which attempted to go off road.

I had exactly the same thing fall out from behind my right rear mudflap when I was giving my D3 a thorough

washing (with tank water, for my fellow Melbournites) when I got my D3 back from the Kimbertey in August.

I just thought it was something to do with the mudflap. Smile

2008 Discovery 3 TDV6 XS Manual Stornoway Grey

There is a drain tube visible around the near side front wheel arch I seem to recall. Could be that. But I'm sure its a clear one not black.

Just got back from Bradford, and everything seems to be working fine. I don't think it came from my car Thumbs Up I'll give it to dealer on Friday when she goes in for service.
