Want to fit BT phone to D3 2005 HSE |
|
Really want to fit BT phone and DAB to the existing 6CD HC L7 headunit. Is this possible?
The car is new to me, I have a IID BT.
Can anyone point me in the right direction??

Garmin Nuvi + D4 Surround + Reversing Camera.
D4 Steering Wheel.

You need a new right hand switch pack to replace the audio controls with audio + telephone, most likely XPD500510WVH (see list of choices, mainly based on color https://www.disco3.co.uk/wiki/Steering_Wheel_Switches)
You also need a D4 BT module, MOST cable, a microphone and a few other things which can probably be bought from some of the forum sponsors. there is a really long BT thread on this forum which might be sensible to read through.
The alternative to the D4 BT is a mObridge M2.Connect MOST unit. It’ll do BT calls AND BT audio streaming (shows up as a satellite receiver). Mine arrives next week and I’ll be installing it. Thought I’d do a short write up since there doesn’t seem to be many mentions of the box. Either it works great but nobody is aware of it or it truly sucks and people avoid it like the plague.
Can’t help you with the DAB, doesn’t exist in Finland

I’ve got the mObridge in my 2005 HSE nd it works fine, I could do with a manual for it though as I can’t find out how to stream the audio phone and DB are ok though

I paid less than that (in EUR) to the local distributor.
Although the ballpark for a kit - no streaming - with a D4 BT module & etc. is 300-400 GBP, I believe, based on parts?
