2010 Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 XS Auto Barolo Black

Low range

When I put my disco in low range the auto gear changes are awful there so harsh and like it’s lurching forward should it be like that or should they be smooth changes Disco 3 gone but not forGotten

really so what is it transfer box then do u think not smooth at all it’s not like when it’s in high range at all Disco 3 gone but not forGotten

are all the oils up to levels..any signs of leaks underneath

Yes replace both diffs and transfer case oils with the correct LR ones Disco 3 gone but not forGotten

if the main box is smooth...suggests probs in transfer box in my mind

High range is sort of ok just from second to first is suspect sometimes as if I break hard once stopped I can feel it jump into first Its being looked at on Wednesday as it’s a brand new

If it was me personally, I’d take my car back to whoever did the box and leave it with them until it’s sorted. From looking at your recent posts it sounds like it hasn’t been right since you had it back.

No mate it ain’t it’s going back next wed
Took it back 2 weeks ago and he looked over it and found the rubber on the propshaft bearing was knackered so sent me away again
I now replaced it updated the transmission ecu and it still not right sometimes from 3-2 and 2-1
When it’s cold it does it up the gears in 1-2 2-3 not really bad but it’s as if the gears are changing late if u know what I mean especially 2-1 if I break hard and come to a stop I can feel it go into first with a slight jump when I’m

Another thing is if I go from d to r it clunks
Just was wondering about the t case as he mentioned that last time could be worn Disco 3 gone but not forGotten
