Hi all
First time user of the site, and first time disco owner, looking for advice if possible, I have a 2008 discovery 3 TDV6se, the MIL light came on so I had the thing checked and it has come up with code PO 490, exhaust gas recirculation, control short to B+. Can anyone tell me what this means and how to get it fixed.
any advice would be welcome, thanks

Either google the code or search on here for egr faults, theres plenty to read.
As yours is a late model you have two options, either blank the egr valves and get the egr mapped out of the ecu or replace the egr valve/s and wait for them to fail again!

It means one of the egrs on the side of the engine has a wire shorted to +
or it could mean there is a broken wire or the valve/motor broke inside.
Patch and blanks is a good way forward after brief inspension of wires to the side valves
