Lower windscreen valence panel removal
Just wondering if the plastic valence panel running between the bottom of windscreen and the bonnet that has the wiper bolts going through it comes off easily?
Its quite faded and the new autoglym spray black dye does a great job of bringing plastic back to a deep black. Thinking it would be much easier than trying to mask everything off

It's fairly easy just held on by clips, I guess if it's old you might break some clips removing it so I'd have a few spare. I would not remove the windscreen side trim as you will certainly break these clips!
You can bend the lower trim and get it out without removing these
You do need to remove the wiper arms though where one of these comes in handy

Great tip re the air intake cover link above
What a poor design to have it pretruding beyond the windscreen. Just looking for trouble.
So just washed mine before removing scuttle panel and sure enough there was small amount of water running into the pollen filter. Next stop the fuse board.
Siliconed a piece of plastic in place to deflect the water away should the mastic break down again in the future.
