New or used SRS module. And weird passenger door locking

Still on the case of the permanent airbag light

Question, if I get a used one will it work ok on a different vehicle
If I get a new one does it need coding to vehicle with iid tool.

Door locking passenger side front...
It will unlock fine with remote fob and from dash button

But will not relock unless. Do it with the key in the door , which thankfully is really free

Is this still a failing motor (but can here it moving on relock) or (I think) has something inside the door for adrift / unattached ?

Thankfully it’s not an electrical issue as I have enough of those at the moment
Rolling with laughter

Passenger seat out is next port of call to check any splices?

Then failing that....

Banging Head

Hi

I’ve been through this nightmare and the air bag light , had to pull the interior apart in the end

With ur iid what are the air bag OHMS readings plse and what fault codes have u got

Still have all my ohms readings of the airbags so can find them to compare with what you’ve got and see if we can narrow it down

Does sound like a faulty actuator motor but not 100% , not sure if there’s 2 x motors inside the actuator , ie one to lock and the other unlock

See if i can share any help ref ur SRS light , i didn’t have to replace the SRS module, just reset it to normal state with the iid

Just know what it’s like searching for the elusive fault light

Rolling with laughter , indeed isn’t fun

Have u tested the live data yet of ur air bags system, that will check there all sound

Ref ur faults codes , U values can just be ignored, when you’ve cleared them all, refreshed it, what codes come back up please

Also have u tried resetting ur module back to normal state with the iid

With the live data will then see what the OHMS are , there will be 8 x readings

At least can share the knowledge I picked up and never know may be of use to u Thumbs Up

I’m not explored the live data
I’m no expert on the use of iid tools

The faults cannot be cleared at all
It won’t allow it to do it for some reason, maybe lack of communication ?

Seeing as I’m going to have to rectify the door lock by taking door to bits, I decided to get an eblag lock £29 Shocked (be interesting to see if it fits )

Air bag module

If I decide to get one
What tool will program this to the car..
Can iid BT ?
Or is it a main stealer jobbie (after I fitted it)

Car booked in for wed to get it on lift to do gearbox drip,
