HDC button no worky. yud501850 |
|
So this may turn into a wanted post..
Can there be any other reason as to why the big yellow HDC button not to work
I’ve had the whole switch pack to bits an there is no dirt at all under the rubber contact pads
Plug, pins, wires etc look good from what I can see,
I still got air bag light on dash but I assume this can’t be linked, or can it??
On the upside
Rear abs are replaced, and gearbox was dropped a tad by Indy to donbreather pipe
Incidentally the hdc button didn’t work before he touched gearbox

If you engage mud & ruts on the terrain response does the HDC engage then? Might help with diagnoses to know.

If when in mud & ruts, you then press the HDC button, does the green light go out, ie switch off the HDC? If it does it would prove the button, and associated wiring, is working

Right then,
I’ve had a play about in the field at work (any excuse)
Green hdc light comes on with the terrain knob
And hdc kicks in when should so working fine
Button will not turn it off though
I’m going to ‘borrow’ the switch pack out of my folks d3
But either way, I think I’m going to leave as is as if I ever need hdc
The knob will activate it,

I have required to switch HDC off when in Mud & ruts, nearly put me in a hedge when it came in at , let us say, an inopportune moment. partly my fault for not realising it was engaged.

Right then
Just swapped switch pack out of my dads D3
And switch still not working (but does in his)
So initial checks on wiring to switch pack look fine
Are there any other key areas I could be checking ?
(Still not fixed air bag light )

Hi,
My low range light is on the dash (green) and the range selector has low range illuminated although the car doesn’t feel like it’s in low range.
Any advice please?
