I have the same brackets but a Howling Moon awning. I just drilled through the box section and used bolts and nyloc nuts to attach the brackets. I then just bolted the brackets to the prospeed rack using the regular threaded holes.
To lock mine, there are holes on both legs of the bracket that line up when closed. I use a ‘long’ padlock through all four holes when closed which prevents (in theory) anyone standing up the brackets/awning and unbolting the whole lot from the rack. D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

Thanks James.
Did you use steel or Ali box section?
Not sure the Ali will be up to it - hard to tell until it’s all together.
Did you have the same issue with the right angle box section fitting into the curved internals of the awning?
Any pics would be really appreciated
Thanks again

Where did you get the brackets from please?

My awning came with an aluminium box section and the awning is different to yours as it’s a Howling Moon one, it just connects to the box section with normal awning connector thread. The brackets are prospeed ones. D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten
