Upper Tailgate upper trim removal - clarification please
I'm fitting a rear dash cam and will need to remove the top tailgate internal top trim above the glass once I've struggled to get the cable through the rubber boot. I'm sure this just prises off but don't want to break it and would like clarification from anyone who's done this before.
Many thanksDiscovery 4 HSE 2014 (Current)

Nothing in my version of the workshop manual, bottom one just pulls off once you have removed the handle and latch surround, so would guess its the same.==================================

If you mean the trim at the top of the tailgate on the inside, just get hold of it and pull, it's held on with poppers.
The convoluted boot is a nuisance but can be done. Pass a large tiewrap through first and attach a stout string to that, pull the tiewrap through, attach your cable to the string and away you go. Mods:

Silicon spray is your friend to help get the connector through. I finally got round to installing my twin cam BlackVue this evening.
I fed a long screwdriver through and then wiped off the silicon. Taped up the 90degree connector onto the screwdriver and sprayed some more siliconbefore pulling to all back through. Bodsys Brake Bible

There is a link on this site to a pdf from DiscoBizz on installing reversing camera and a GVIF. Part way through is how to remove tailgate trim and how to feed wire etc. for camera assuming it was to replace one of the number plate lamps
Cannot find the link
