I have spoken to Mr Vince Cobley about this event and I cant remember what he said He called me last night just after I got in from the pub I'm sure he said it was OK I will post more info when I have spoken to him in more detail. Oh hang on I just remembered.
Basically there will be 2 groups one suitable for new driver training. Those that attend will be given a certificate / passport to say that you have attended 1/2 day instruction. The instructors will be qualified Land Rover instructors.
The other group will be a supervised pay and play type day. We may set out a mild challenge course for those that want the option to get stuck in. That reminds me I must order a spare drive shaft
All I have to do now is sort the dates with Vince Next toy is on the way.
In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

A friend has just bought a D2 and, if permission is granted by her indoors, he wants to come along too. He'll go into the novice/full training group. Put me in for the pay'n'play group. I've already registered but can't do it twice for 2 places 4 wheel drive = D3 (top tech). 2 wheel drive = HD (what's tech?) They fit together nicely.....
Club - Maxxis Bighorn, Mantec, RAI and, above all, club "push it to the limit" along with 4 other brave souls! Drive the talk

I'm definetely interested and have signed up - like many others, because of other planned committments, the confirmed date will determine if I can make it.
I go laning a couple of times a month with DOC Essex Section and Essex Mud Club in my D1 so not new to off-roading but I will be a complete novice in my (manual) D3. Only done a half day LRE at Ashford in an auto D3

I have been given a date, its Sunday 24th February. Minimum amount of vehicles is 6 in the training and 6 in the Playgroup. Maximum 12 in the training and 28 in the Playgroup. The costs are £70 for the training and £50 for the Playgroup. A £35 deposit is required.
I will alter the sign up to suit the date and the two groups. Can you make sure your name is in the correct group or is removed if you cant make it unlucky. Once I have received your deposit I will confirm you have paid. Next toy is on the way.

AndrewS, there's no room at present for the training but I suspect some people will be moving across (CFB,BCB etc) once they see the sign up has changed.
Could I put myself forward as a reserve if any training places become free?

Sorry, but if I agreed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

Hopefully Vince or Ed will set up a track that has gates a bit like a trails event. It will be non damaging but you may need to be winched. Next toy is on the way.
