Air Tank Worries - Any suggestion please?
Tried replacing my Air tank with a new one I bought off Fleabay yesterday, only to discover that the valve inlet on the new one is a bit smaller that the existing connection on the old one.
So, had no choice than to reinstall the good old rusty one which I discovered not to be leaky despite its old sorry state.
Question is? Is there a valve/ connection to help connect old bigger inlet into this apparently smaller Arr tank opening or do I just return the new Air Tank to Fleabay seller?
Please not that my D3 is one of the early models (2005)
Thanks

You might try to use the push-in connector. Measure the tubes diameter first and then search for the right connector. you may also need the extra thinner air tubing to fit the small inlet.

Thanks Jayoi.
I'm sure lots of people on this forum had made this replacement. Just wondering if anyone had encountered same issue and if yes? Where did they buy the connector?
I don't want to believe this is peculiar to me.
Help needed please!!!!!

As you are in Thurrock theres bound to be loads of hydraulic hose places or commercial motor factors nearby, take the tank with you and the outside diameter of the nylon pipe and they will sort you out probably for less than a tenner.
Right next door to the Daf dealer Harris commercials out the back of Lakeside is a motor factor I used to use years ago they were very handy then and may still be there
Just googled it IFS ltd
