| LR Disco 4 Front Brake wobble |

Hi All,
Can any one help please. I have a Disco4 (66) with front brake problems. over the last three years I have
had front discs replaced 3 times due to wheel wobble/vibration 40+mph. Each set lasts for around 5k miles. The last set being LR stamped Discs & Pads.
I have had the tracking checked and front wheels balanced, which seems to have made the problem worse, Any ideas please.

Yep, get rid of it. I had this same issue on my first D4, 3 sets of discs and pads, genuine and aftermarket, even had both hubs and bearings replaced and it still came back. I also tried different sets of wheels, no different. I gave up and traded it in the end. I know if a couple of others that had had the same issue and can’t get rid of it.

Surprised a garage hasn't managed to correctly diagnose the issue. Do any of the wheels get particularly hot after driving?
Could be stuck caliper which has warped the disc through excessive heat or uneven heating and / or cooling. Could be warped discs from some other cause.
Does the wheel wobble get worse when applying the brakes and with speed?

first place i would be looking is the centre bore hole in the wheel as if it built up with corrosion as no one ever lubes them up then its very easy for the wheels to not seat right causing probs
also had wheel wobble on my 2013 took me a while to figure out the cause which turned out to be the lower sus arm rear bushes, test them by putting a wheel brace on a nut and pull the wheel back/forward if it moves a lot then the bushes are worn
ps my bushes went at around 7 years of age seems thats the life span of the arms as ive done a few now on both my discos and thats how long they lasted with genuine arms (cheap firstline ones lasted just over a year)
oh and no need to get rid of it if you like it as i fitted cheap discs to eliminate them and they have been as good as genuine bits for the last 18mths please excuse any grammer/punctuation mistakes,i'm thick,thankyou

Who is doing the work on your vehicle?
Before I made thoughts to get rid of it I'd look to take it an independent that really cuts the mustard, and I'd travel for that. A 66' plate D4 is worth that imho.
Hope you get it sorted.
PS when was the last Hunter 4WD wheel alignment done? Worth trying that for £90 odd if you've not already?..
