Turbo oil feed pipe
Hi,
Is it possible to remove and replace the turbo oil feed pipe without removing the body? Mine is leaking on the joint from solid to braded pipe at the crimped joint.
Did you manage to get this done?Disco 3 2.7 TDV6 55 Buckingham Blue Base

Yes it can be done without removing the body I've done it serval times tricky and tight but doable,
If working on the ground, lift suspension remove heat shields from behind wheel, I used a 10mm spanner and a small hex bit from a set I have to remove feed pipe banjo bolt then from drivers side on top of the bell housing there's an 8mm bolt securing the pipe to the engine block (make sure the jeeps been left a while before doing it as the crossover pipe can be extremely hot) once both removed with a bit of wiggling and swearing removed the pipe from the passenger side easiest with two people one under the driver side guiding the pipe other at passenger side pulling the pipe and usually calling it every name under the sun

Going to be doing this tomorrow (body on) anyone got any further advice? Do you go in through the wheel arch on the right hand side to get to the engine end? I’ve been under it and can’t even see or touch the bolt on top of the bell housing from underneath....

Well you need long arms and to feel it.
It’s solid and then braid.
Not done it myself
If your short do may have to try sitting on the engine and reaching down.
Water cross over pipe removal will help

Cheers,
Taken the wimps way out after looks of trying (and swearing) Considering the turbo failed due to a sized actuator rather than any issues related to the oil i'm going to say that the oil feed pipe is still ok so not going to change it despite the new one arriving it will be sent back.
