Sorry guys, don't and won't typically bother coming here any more, despite the fact that i am now personally a D3 TDV6 owner myself and have done some very simple yet serious technical modifications to vastly uprate it.
This is in fact the first time i have visited here in several months, and i only bothered now as someone here e-mailed me thinking a recent post was mine which is not.
Congrats on the Auto Logic purchase 10ForCash, I hope you will be very happy with it. While it obviously costs a lot more than our equipment, it really is a good unit and is definitely the best unit for your needs as our system was and still is very much in its infancy and we now really only cater quite specifically for the private enthusiasts rather than trade.
best of luck.
regards
Colin

Thanks again Graeme. I'll see what the ELM327 reports when it turns up. wd40 has lubrication properties similar to spit. And what's good enough for the girls...... Going, going...... Gone!

Please post the results - I was just considering to buy an ELM327 thing - however I was in doubts whether it will show anything on D3 (although it claim to be CAN support ) - http://www.obd-2.de/eShop/index.php?main_p...cts_id=243 4x4:

Mine turned up at the weekend but haven't had a chance to play with it yet. With the way my schedule is looking, I'd put money on you getting to use yours before I get to try mine wd40 has lubrication properties similar to spit. And what's good enough for the girls...... Going, going...... Gone!

Hmmm, the disk with the drivers on has approx 20Mb of files in total. Haven't had a chance to work out which ones are needed yet. If you know what files you need I can email them to you. wd40 has lubrication properties similar to spit. And what's good enough for the girls...... Going, going...... Gone!

Well i had a play with the ELM327 today...
Unfortunatly no joy with the disco.
I have tryed various software and nout. The ELM327 is working fine as i have tested it on our mini.
One thing i have noticed ( and have noticed this before) is it will record certain data on key position 1 , but when you start the car it loose's connection. Then if you reconnect its fine .
This would indicate that on key position 2 ..nothing it transmitted...I have tryed to connect on key position 2 and nothing happends.
Not the D3 ..but just to show it works
Im going to try and find a pin out for the mini cooper 2002 OBD2 socket and see what pins are the same JAVA BLACK SE , MANUAL , PRIVACY GLASS , EBONY LEATHER , COLOUR CODED PARTS , SIDE PROTECTION TUBES , HIDDEN WINCH (12000 LBS) , 19" HSE WHEELS.

Hello folks, this is my first post, so please bear with me and my silly question.
I've spent the past two days looking for diagnostics solutions that claim to be Land Rover compatible.
One I found is the Launch X-431 - the website is http://www.x431usa.com - they claim to have OEM codes, but when you click the "X-431 Vehicles Tested" it comes up with an error on Land Rover....
Another is the Auto-enginuity. They have a USA dealer AESWave.com and they have a Land Rover page with a list of sensors and functions that they claim to support.
The cost for the Land Rover SW is $229 and the HW is another $249.
So if this thing works, it looks like a great deal for Land Rover owners...
Has anyone tried it? Used it? Seen it?
thanks for any replies.

Anything new yet wiggs?
I've tried the ELM 327 v1.2a on Mrs BrumLee's 08 Panda and it shows loads of useful info, but she's got no fault codes to play with (I mean the car ). Anyone found software to talk to the D3?
I had an email saying these work, but I'm not forking out another £70 to find out they don't
