My epb stoped working but luckily off rather than on. Was making a small screech which has always done since owning it. One day just threw up red and amber lights and error on dash. Then cleared and then next time I used the car errored upon start up without even touching the button.
Have fitted and adjusted new parking shoes as plug was missing from one of the discs and shoes were past it. Had it scanned with an iid and wont even communicate with the epb. Is there a ecu or module between the switch and actuator underneath the car?
Wondering if it could be a poor connection or broken wire somewhere. Have had a very quick glance at block by n/s rear wheel and nothing obvious there and epb box under car is plugged in as checked that too.
Probably will be putting the car up for sale soon and thats the only thing stopping me atm. 2006 TdV6 HSE.
