C tek chargher.

Hi all, was wondering which model of charger would be most suitable for my car?
Have seen a few different models just wondering what the greater good would recommend from experience. Thanks in advance Lee.

I've got a 3.8amp Ctek, had it about 5 years and it's more than man enough for the D3.
I also fitted the comfort lead as linked by Iggy, ( you'll need to extend it to fit the D3/4 battery and still protrude through the grill ) and it is extremely handy. Makes charging super simple, pull up, plug in, no need to open the bonnet etc.

+1 for the CTEK 5. Got it connected to my Mazda MX-5 with the comfort eyelet connector with the LED indicators. Due to the grill layout, I have to open the bonnet to see the indicator and connect/disconnect.

Great bit of kit and a £10 eBay voucher sealed the deal.

Ctek5 is good for batteries up to 110Ah.

That is sort of wher the disco 3 battery is at.

The MXS7 is good for batteries up to 150Ah and has a ‘supply’ option for when you want to do diagnostic stuff and reprogram the car, or take the battery out, but it’s only 7A so a little light to try power the car with no battery.

I know when I asked the question, it was this or the mxs25.

I got the Ctek MXS10 for a bargain price of £93.20 link below...

Does everything you'll ever need from a charger. Not sure how that price compares to the other models but I thought it worth paying a tad more and be done with.

Thumbs Up

Or in the alternative, a 2.5 m indicator extension cable, for less money, but no indicator panel.
