I thought it was 4degs but last night on the way to work it was on at 5degs.
Perhaps it has a mind of its own.

I knew I saw it somewhere If you don't already know about this its the same timer kit that Stalpdm has mastered , it allows you to preprogram times for your FBH.
Discussed here : http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic9796.ht...cow+russia
Feri , Your dealer should know about the FBH , how it operates and if it doesn't work , how to fix it.Have you tried another LR dealer in your area ?
The TSB you need :
Quote:TSB - LTB00027
Quote:
Subject/Concern: Cold Climate Starting Aid
Models:
Discovery 3 Engine: 2.7L(TDV6) Diesel
VIN-range: 5A300167 Onwards
Range Rover Sport (LS) 2007- Engine: 3.6L(TDV8) Diesel
Markets: Russia only
Section: 412-02b
Summary:
A customer may report a concern of poor engine starting in ambient temperatures below -25°C.
Cause: The Discovery TDV6 diesel engine is specified to start at ambient temperatures of -25°C and above. In Russia, the vehicles can experience temperatures below this threshold.
Action: On a customer concern basis only regarding the above, refer to the Service Procedure detailed in this bulletin to install an auxiliary heating timer to the fuel fired booster heater (FFBH), which provides additional engine pre-heat prior to starting. The procedure calls for the use of a special tool (LR-130) when drilling holes in the interior lamp unit. The tool is available free of charge for the first tool order (subsequent orders for the tool will be chargeable) from SPX Service Solutions via the contact details below:
