I'm currently looking at the Blackvue 750 2ch for my D4 but the rear windows are tinted.
Obviously this will have an affect on the rear cam but does anyone know how much of one?Dorian Woolger

I have a Blackvue rear camera and 95% tint on rear windows - makes very very little difference to video quality on playback compared to front view.Uncle Ray's spare wheel protector

That's very interesting to know, I also have limo tint on the rear. I always held off getting a rear camera because of this. Cheers D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

Thanks for the info. Mine is the factory tinting.
I’ve gone ahead and purchased a DR750 2ch set from their refurb store on eBay.
Update with results once fitted.Dorian Woolger

I have a Thinkware and the rear glass is tinted, it’s not noticeable on the video during the day, I presume it effects the night video a bit but I haven’t noticed.

I hope I am not stating the amazingly obvious but aren't the privacy tints, even limo ones, designed for you to be able to see OUT of but not into.....so why would it be any different for a camera fitted INSIDE of the tints??.

When I was fitting the rear camera there were two grommets to the top rear door. I used the one with just the water pipe, after trying and trying I finally pulled out the grommet disconnected the water pipe and pulled it out of the grommet fed the camera cable through the grommet and then put the water pipe back through and simply pushed the grommet back in place.
