Strange knocking from engine (video)

Had the car in the garage for the weekend to change the water pump.
Did fight for hours with the fan but after making my own tool it came apart.

Changed the water pump, idle roller and put on a new aux belt. (The cambelt cover also came off since i managed to loose some piece in there (which I for sure found and removed after removing the cover)

Puttibg everything together went fine. Checked the service manual on how to fill the cooling system.
Filled the coolant tank up since I had to drain the engine when changing the water pump.
Started the engine. Normal start and sound. Waited for the engine to heat so that the thermostat should open to bleed and top off coolant.

After under a minute this strange knocking starts. Getting worser and it doesnt run normally. Sounds like its struggling in a way. Also feels like its slowly dying but it doesnt stop.

Didnt wait for the thermostat to open and kust shut it down.

Anyone have a clue what this might be? [/list]

No I have not. But that might be the next step

Changed the oil since approx 4500km and the car has been running very smooth since then.
So this happened a few seconds after I started it up today after changing the water pump.

I had that, but it was my fault, I had not tightened the small bolts holding the pulleys on.
sounded ok at first then started to rattle.

Great! Thanks!
That was the push I needed to go back into the garage and pop off the fan cover and retighten all pulley bolts.
Cannot understand how they came loose but the pulley that the fan is mounted on is a very snug fit and that might have tricked me thinking the bolts were tight.

Case officially closed! Wife is happy. Now some well deserved beers🙃
